The Gulai Daging Salai, featuring smoked beef in rich, creamy coconut curry, delivers a smoky complexity that is both comforting and invigorating. Equally impressive is the Siput Sedut Belitung Masak Lemak Cili Api, a traditional spicy snail dish that highlights the chefs' respect for heritage flavors.

The restaurant is well-regarded for its friendly staff and consistent culinary standards, which seem to draw repeat visits from local food enthusiasts. Drinks like their signature apple asam boi complement spicy dishes perfectly, refreshing the palate with a tangy twist. While the pricing leans towards the premium side, the generous portions and meticulous presentation justify the value.

Newly opened Halal eatery in Aurora Place Bukit Jalil. Price slightly on higher side, but matched the taste, presentation, service and ambiance. We ordered these two dishes (medium spicy level) with 2 plates of rice and apple asam boi drinks cost around 120+. Portion wise is just nice for 2-3pax, not enough for 4 pax as per the restaurant suggestion. Food preparation is fast. No ala carte menu for a quick meal. Suitable for a family dinner or gatherings.

What striking me most was the interior set up of this place. Its cozy and calming. There were murals of a paddy field and village scenery on one side of the inner wall to contemplate the wooden furniture decoration. About the food..hmm the Tilapia Balado really took me by suprised ! Deep fried in perfection and harmonized with the chilli paste gravy ! Blast of hot and spiciness in every spoonful into your mouth The fried eggplant with chilli and anchovies is A Must Try ! I can eat the whole plate itself on my own. Crazy good !! For Daging Salai Masak Lemak Chili padi lovers...the smoky beef will hit your taste bud hard. Silky and smooth taste of the coconut milk paired with hot white rice...Haven !!

Excellent masak lemak, we didn't expect the portions to be so big. Best to dine as a group, at least until they start offering single dish or set meals.

We visited Lado Podeh in the evening and were pleased to find that it was not crowded. The menu was minimal, which we appreciated as it allowed for a simple and concise dining experience. We ordered the Ayam Balado, Sotong Masak Kicap, Udang Masak Lemak, and Taugeh Tauhu, and each dish was truly amazing. Lado Podeh stands out as one of the best Malay restaurants we have visited in quite some time. The flavors were rich, and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident in every bite. During our visit, we had the opportunity to speak with Maulud, the owner of the restaurant. He shared with us their commitment to using only the freshest ingredients, which further added to our dining experience. For parking, we recommend using the basement parking of Aurora Place, as the surrounding area can get quite busy due to its proximity to Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Overall, Lado Podeh offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious Malay cuisine, attentive service, and commitment to quality. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an exceptional Malay dining experience.
